Studio Canal 18 is a basement apartment in a typical Amsterdam canal house. The studio is located in an idyllic, quiet street in the heart of the city center. Beautifully decorated. Perfect for a couple or two friends. All of Amsterdam's highlights are within walking distance, in a quiet street close to the canals. 
The B&B offers complete privacy, even though you share the front door with us. From the main entrance, you go straight down a staircase to the basement. Here you will find your own hallway with secure access to the B&B. Next to the studio is a separate door leading to the laundry room, equipped with a washing machine and dryer that you can use.
This completely new studio has been carefully designed with great attention to detail and exudes a stylish and luxurious atmosphere. From a trendy SMEG refrigerator and an elegant Nespresso machine to the beautiful interior design, everything has been tailor-made to make your stay unforgettable.
The studio has its own kitchenette, a modern bathroom, and a comfortable sleeping area. With luxurious amenities and an elegant interior, this space feels like a boutique hotel, but with the warmth and privacy of home.

Melanie’s studio is in a wonderful neighbourhood with plenty of things to do nearby. Melanie made sure our experience was a memorable one and we would love to come back and stay, next time we are in Amsterdam!

My mom and I had a wonderful stay here. Melanie and her husband are amazing hosts! The space is beautiful, the bed is comfortable, and the location is very convenient. We often walked right to Museumplein. Also, there are no photos of them, but there’s a washer and dryer which was easy to use. Would love to stay again.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at Melanie's place. Melanie and her husband are very friendly, kind, and genuine. We felt welcomed right from the start and at home. Melanie was always proactive and eager to help make our stay wonderful. She provided recommendations and offered help often. The apartment is immaculate, well maintained, and quite romantic. We stayed during the historic heatwave in the Netherlands with the highest recorded temperature of 36C feeling like 41C. We were comfortable and cool in the apartment given it's location below ground. The bed was very comfortable and together with the cool temperature and the quiet, we slept so well. It was our refuge to recharge after long days exploring in the heat. The street is quiet while being only a couple blocks from amazing restaurants and all the beauty of Amsterdam. Transit was very easy to access and we visited several locations on day trips using transit. Thank you Melanie and Mark for making our stay a truly special time.

We loved our stay

Overall it was a really lovely stay. A great location, easy to check-in and out, wonderful host recommendations. Only downside is it ended up getting very hot at night, but we were visiting during a historic heatwave.

Melanie was very friendly and the place was very nice! The perfect location for walking around and going to all the restaurants, shops, and attractions. The location was easy to access, and Melanie offered suggestions for restaurants! We did hear them moving about above us past the designated quiet hours during our stay, but it’s not a big deal if you’re not a light sleeper. Overall, a great place to stay with friendly hosts.
