Indulge in all the best that the world renowned Lake Tahoe region has to offer! Wake up to mountain and lake views from every window and our many decks. Spacious, clean and comfortable for everyone, this hosted holiday sanctuary offers every modern creature comfort and is perfectly sized for two or three families - sleeps up to 10 people total. This 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath upper floor unit has been furnished to spare no comfort. WiFi and large screen smart TVs throughout both floors give everyone the ability to enjoy each other while still maintaining privacy. Gourmet kitchen fully stocked with cooking essentials including blender, hand mixer, crockpot slow cooker, salad spinner, spices/seasonings, coffee and tea. In addition to our spacious dining room, our main deck also includes a BBQ grill and comfortable outdoor dining table with built-in fire pit for dining al fresco in the summertime and cozy conversations by the fire. To ensure that you’ll enjoy a comfortable stay, we’ve installed a Nest smart thermostat with temperature sensors on each floor to manage the central forced air heating system, controlled by a Nest Hub display in the living room, as well as strategically placed portable air conditioning units for the summertime. Tahoe rarely gets hot enough to need air conditioning so we have not installed portable A/C units in every room. When needed, the central ventilation fan combined with the portable fans that we have placed in every room do a good job of circulating cool air from the portable A/C units throughout the house. The game room features a billiards table and large screen smart TV connected to a classic Nintendo Wii AND Xbox 360 with a variety of nostalgic games. Plenty of board games for everyone to enjoy together are available in the living room. We also try our best to spoil our guests with luxurious finishing touches - comfortable mattresses, fluffy spa towels, fun beach towels, essential toiletries including shampoo, conditioner and aromatherapy hand soaps, lotions, and body wash.
During the peak summer season between Memorial Day and just after Labor Day, only limited public access to Lakeside Beach is available for $30 per adult per day ($20 per child 6 - 17). However, our guests are granted access to Lakeside Beach and all of its amenities including picnic tables, playground, swings, artistic benches, volleyball net, restrooms, breakwaters to protect young swimmers, air pump to blow up your inflatable beach toys, and more… for only $5 per person (over 5 years old), per day. Our guests can also enjoy a 50% discount on beach rentals (umbrellas, beach chairs, games…) as well as access to Lakeside Beach for free before 7am and after 5pm during the peak summer season and any time of day during the spring, fall and winter. Furthermore, Lakeside Marina at Lakeside Beach also offers kayaks, paddleboards, jet skis, boats and other watercraft rentals. The north end (right side as you are facing the lake) of Lakeside Beach is a charming event venue with a walkway and seating area. It is available to be reserved for weddings, family reunions and other events. Enjoy casual lakeside dining on the beach at Lakeside Beach Grill, which also offers banquet facilities in their wind protected outdoor dining patio. Lakeside Beach is also the perfect 4th of July fireworks viewing spot! In addition, there is a water taxi which runs during the summer between Lakeside Marina, Timber Cove Marina, Round Hill Pines Marina and circles through Emerald Bay (<a href="https://action-watersports.com/lakeside-marina/">action-watersports.com/lakeside-marina/</a>) as well as carriage rides nearby.
For music lovers, summertime also brings a series of concerts at Harvey’s Lake Tahoe Outdoor Arena (12 mins stroll) and the brand new Tahoe Blue Event Center (19 mins stroll) as well as the various casinos in the area. Some of these concerts are audible from our decks and might conclude with a fireworks show, which is often viewable from our dining room window or front patio. For golf enthusiasts, we’re only an 18 mins walk to Edgewood, which hosts the annual American Century Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament in mid-July. Or rent a kayak or paddleboard from Lakeside Marina and paddle over to the shores of Edgewood in just 12 minutes for some celebrity sightseeing and to catch all the action from the lake. Furthermore, Heavenly Mountain offers a host of summertime activities including zip lining, ropes course, gemstone panning, rock climbing wall, summer tubing, mountain coaster, 4x4 mountain expedition tours, and of course, hiking and mountain biking trails.
If you do decide to come with a car, May/June is the perfect time to come and explore the Tahoe region’s many waterfalls at their peak. Early October is the perfect time to come and experience the salmon run at Taylor Creek (<a href="https://visitlaketahoe.com/attractions/fall-fish-fest-editorial/">visitlaketahoe.com/attractions/fall-fish-fest-editorial/</a>). Or explore spectacular Emerald Bay or Sand Harbor Beach year round - all a short drive away. Other year round attractions that are within an easy 10 minute walk include miniature golf, axe throwing, massage and spa treatments.
The ski lifts are only a short walk away - 10 minutes in ski boots with skis in tow (~8 minutes in snowboard boots) to the Heavenly Gondola. Enjoy all of the amenities, including lots of dining options, locker rentals, snow tubing, ice skating and Après-Ski attractions at Heavenly Village - which makes our home practically ski-in / ski-out. We are quite literally in the heart of all the fun!
There are many ways to get here, with nearby airports in Reno Nevada, Sacramento California and San Francisco California. The South Tahoe Airporter shuttle (<a href="https://southtahoeairporter.com/door-to-door-service/">southtahoeairporter.com/door-to-door-service/</a>) offers affordable door to door service from the Reno-Tahoe Airport. Once you’re here, there are plenty of electric scooters, bicycles and other vehicles available for rent nearby as well as easy access to Uber/Lyft. Tahoe Sanctuary

Great host and a great space in one of the most beautiful places in the country. Cant say thank you enough for making our long weekend that much more pleasurable. Cheers!

Lake Tahoe Beauty!

This house was perfect for our annual girls trip! Steps from the beach and Heavenly Village, we could walk (or scooter!) everywhere. The location is ideal. The house had every amenity we needed and more. Not to mention the owners were so easy to work with, informative, respectful, and fair. Would highly recommend this home for anyone traveling to South Lake Tahoe.

Great home in South Lake Tahoe

Fantastic house, convenient location and fabulous stay!!! The location of the house is so convenient, it is literally in the center of all the hot spots. It is walking distance to the casinos, Heavenly Village and ski lifts, the golf course, the lake and several restaurants. Considering that the casinos and Heavenly charge for parking, it makes it so much more economical to be able to walk over to all the popular areas. We stayed in the spring right before all of the snow melted and we even had a light dusting of snow fall when we stayed and it was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at this property along with my sister’s family with a total of 7 people and there was more than enough room for us. I believe they also have an additional space if you have a larger party coming in. Plenty of seating in the living room (with comfortable couches) and the dining room area. The chef’s kitchen was well stocked and it had everything we needed (spices, cooking equipment, etc) with all modern appliances which were easy to use. The bedrooms were also very comfortable especially the beds and I loved that they had thought to put a clothing rack into the rooms because honestly it’s horrible when you have no place to put your bags or hang your clothes for the duration of your stay. I also liked that the bathrooms had shampoo and other toiletries available. They also had extra bedding and towels including beach towels which come in handy especially if you use their hot tub. The hosts really thought of everything they had so many things available for us to use like sleds and windshield snow scrapers and they provided before check in a very comprehensive amount of information on where to dine, what activities were around and they were so communicative about the stay ensuring we had an amazing time. Oh not to mention they have a firepit outside and a ginormous tv in the living room both huge pluses. The most important thing I have to mention that was super important to me was that the house was clean clean clean! I’ve stayed at various Airbnbs in different places and this house by far has been the cleanest. This is an amazing house to stay at!

Beautiful Home in a Convenient Location

Amazing place to stay during summer, with the beach just a 2 minute walk away. The walk to downtown was very pleasant, and offered a large variety of food. House came well-equipped for baking and fully stocked for anything an ambitious chef is looking for. Thanks so much for this incredibly stay! Would love to return soon! 😉

Fantastic stay, excellent hosts!
