Your Mountain Launchpad & Hospital Hub
The Space Welcome to the Gateway Suite—a private, lower-level retreat professionally curated for warmth and peace. By choosing this basement suite, you get the full "Entire Home" experience—private kitchen, bathroom, and laundry—at a fraction of the cost of a hotel or an upper-level unit.
Whether you are an athlete training at WinSport, a medical professional, or a visiting family, this unit provides a fully independent "home base" experience.
Why guests love this space:

Strategic Location: Tucked away close to the heart of Bowness, you are under 15 minutes from the Foothills Medical Centre and Alberta Children’s Hospital, and less than 5 minutes from the Trans-Canada Highway and Winsport.

Athlete’s Choice: Proximity to WinSport (Canada Olympic Park), our suite is perfectly positioned for those attending training camps, hockey tournaments, or hitting the ski hill.

Total Autonomy: Enjoy a private side entrance and a well stocked, homey kitchen—essential for athletes maintaining strict nutrition plans or families wanting to maintain your own schedule and enjoy home-cooked meals.

Quiet & Restorative: Being a lower-level unit, the space is naturally cool and quiet. We’ve added premium linens and blackout curtains to ensure optimal sleep and recovery for hospital shift workers or those prepping for a mountain hike.

Guest Access You have exclusive access to the entire 2-bedroom lower suite. The entrance is private and well-lit. While we have invested in professional sound-dampening to keep the space quiet, please note this is a basement unit and you may hear occasional footsteps from the separate upper-level residence.
The Neighborhood Bowness is Calgary's Adventure Gateway. Step out the door and you're a short walk from the skating trails at Bowness Park or the local shops of Main Street. This is the only neighborhood in Calgary where you can enjoy a morning coffee by the river and be in the mountains before lunch.

Other Location highlights:
Close to downtown Calgary (15 min)
16th Ave/ Hwy1 access to Canmore/Banff (<5 min) - Skip the city traffic
Stoney trail/Calgary Ring Road (<5 min)
Sarcee Trail south (< 5min)

Other key highlights about the place:
Tidy basement suite in a quiet non smokers house.
There is ample space for sporting equipment or portable crib for visitors.
There is a washer dryer in the furnace room.
Interaction will be low. Booking app messenger is the best way to contact me, but I am available by text or phone for emergencies.
Car rental is recommended. However, there are excellent bus links nearby.

A great home away from home while in Calgary for a tournament.

Home Away From Home

Just like home

It's a pity there's no air conditioner. At temperatures of 30 degrees or more it would definitely come in handy.

Lack Air Condition

Friendly and accommodating staff. Adapt to customer needs. Lack of air conditioning.

Friendly and accommodating staff.

My 4 friends and I stayed at Anthony’s place for a short 2 night trip in Calgary for the Stampede. We found the place to be very well-kept and comfy. Anthony was a very responsive host who accommodated to us by frequently checking in if we had any questions or concerns about our stay. We had a great time at his place and we would recommend to others.
