The Cardinals' Nest

The Cardinals nest was a wonderful getaway! Our family of six with adult kids enjoyed the space and took advantage of the many amenities offered. We cooked meals, including on the outdoor grill, built a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed the pool at the Galena territory. The clubhouse is amazing and definitely worth a visit. We were so excited that it was included with our rental. Some of our favorite areas of the home were the master bedroom suite and the attached screened in porch! The space was quiet and serene what was located conveniently to Galena and Elizabeth. Our kids want to return to the same location next year! The communication from the host, quick and efficient! Thank you!

Annual Family Trip

This is the perfect home for a Galena getaway -- whether you are with family or friends! The home has so much space - with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. My children loved that they had their own spaces and I loved that Brianna and Jonathan provided things like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as well as makeup towels in the bathrooms!
My children were entertained every second we were not out doing something because The Cardinals' Nest is stocked with an arcade game, plus TONS of board games, puzzles, books, toys.....my 6 year old loved the toys, and my older two loved the puzzles, board games and arcade game.
The kitchen is stocked so it was easy to cook and grill while we were there. We could eat inside or in the screened in porch with the nice weather.
I love that there is a coffee nook with coffee provided -- it started each morning off perfectly!
The home was clean and nicely decorated, the beds were COMFY, we had access to the Owner's Club for the pool and fitness area, and we were a short drive to everything else we wanted to do. Truly a wonderful place to stay!!

Perfect fit for our family!

This is our second visit to the Cardinals’ Nest in Galena. It was requested by our grandchildren once again as THE place they wanted to spend our vacation time together. The house fits our needs perfectly. The children loved the lower level accommodations with the two bedrooms, and sitting area, while the adults enjoyed their “ quiet” time upstairs. The puzzles, games and books were perfect for entertaining the children. The kitchen contained everything we needed for making breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The screened in porch was great for that “ eating outside” experience which the grandkids loved. There is nothing anyone would need to enhance their time in this beautiful get-away home. We will be back again….a request made by the children as we drove away.

Perfect In Every Way

We loved our stay at the Cardinals Nest! The home was in a perfect location and beautifully well kept. It fit our family of 6 adults and 1 dog perfectly. It was especially nice to have a bathroom for each adult couple + an extra half bath upstairs for general use. Access to the owners building made for a great way to spend time doing activities together and being outside. Would highly recommend!

Excellent stay!

My husband and I stayed at The Cardinals Nest in Galena this past weekend, and it was absolutely wonderful. Jonathan and Brianna, made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warmth, hospitality, and genuine passion for hosting truly set this place apart.

They provided fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and attractions, which made exploring Galena even more enjoyable. The home itself is beautiful, meticulously maintained, and thoughtfully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Every detail—from the cozy décor to the pristine cleanliness—showed how much care they put into creating a relaxing, memorable stay.

We highly recommend The Cardinals Nest to anyone visiting Galena and will definitely be staying here again. A true gem!

A wonderful stay!
