This newly updated and refurbished 1920's home is a beautiful space to bring your family and friends for a restful stay with all of the amenities of home. &nbsp;If you are coming "home" to stay you may know this house as the old LaFortune home. &nbsp;It boasts three stories with adequate space to spread out. &nbsp;It is a comfortable space for families to gather for a reunion or holiday gathering. &nbsp;It is also perfect for friends coming together to hunt the prairie of South Dakota or fish for walleye on the Missouri River 35 minutes away. &nbsp;&nbsp;We are 45 minutes east of Pierre, South Dakota.&nbsp;
The home is conveniently located near downtown Highmore within walking distance of the local grocery store and auditorium where many local events and wedding receptions are hosted. &nbsp;
All queen and the king beds are brand new sleep number beds to ensure that your sleep is high quality. &nbsp;The Homecoming has three queen beds, one king bed, two single twin beds and a futon for a comfortable stay for 12 guests. &nbsp;&nbsp;The home has one half bath on the main floor, one full bath with tub and shower on the 2nd floor and another 3/4 bath on the 2nd floor with a shower. &nbsp;
The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your cooking needs including a dishes, glassware, silverware, blender, toaster, and coffee maker. &nbsp;&nbsp;We have a heated entry space that is perfect if you are coming to the area for hunting or fishing! &nbsp;Though pets are not allowed within the house space, we do welcome dogs to stay in the garage or entry room space. &nbsp;We also have an accessible washer and dryer in the basement.&nbsp;

The Homecoming in Highmore, SD

We needed a place to stay at the last minute because of the passing of my mother. Jason and Lisa were very kind and accommodating.
The house is wonderful with a beautiful kitchen and remodeled bathrooms. TONS of rooms and very cozy! I would stay at this property again in a heartbeat!

Wonderful Experience

My husband, crew and ourselves were working in the area and stayed here.  The home is large with plenty of space for everyone.  Had all the amenities one could need, beds were very comfortable.  Room for parking and nice and quite after a long day working!  Would definitely stay here again when we are back to town!  

Wonderful charming home

Thank you for the use of this nicely remodeled home.  My daughter got married the end of October and some of her wedding party, who were from out of town, needed a place to stay.  The Homecoming had plenty of room for the whole group and was close to the reception venue.  This was a very clean  and beautiful place.  Jason and Lisa did a great job on the remodel and were great people to work with.

We had the pleasure of being some of the first guests to stay here on a hunting trip.   It’s an awesome home with tons of room and character.  The bedrooms and bathrooms were awesome and the living and dining rooms offer a great space to meet at the end of the day and share stories. All the beds are sleep number so they can readily be adjusted per your preference.  I would highly recommend this home if you’re in the Highmore area for any reason. We’ll definitely return to The Homecoming!
