The Kipper House is a wonderfully peaceful holiday home right on the coast and just 20 minutes away from Edinburgh by train. It's a comfortable, cosy, simple seaside cottage, perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends looking for a quiet getaway.
To note...

Peak/High Season: We only let the cottage for full weeks, Sunday to Sunday, from the end of April until late September. A discount is applied to the daily rates to account for a full week's stay.

Low/Mid Season: Short stays - minimum 3 nights. Discounts are applied to the daily rates for 4 nights and longer.

The Kipper House garden is fenced and is adjacent to our own garden where we keep four pet hens who may stray into The Kipper Garden. If you hate birds or are anxious about your dog, this may not suit you.

The Kipper House shower is over the bathtub which is extra deep so may be difficult to use if any of your party has mobility issues. There is only one WC.

The Kipper House

"A wonderful property right on the sea front. Plenty of space for a large family to enjoy. Would definitely recommend."

Family Holiday at The Kipper House

A message from The Kipper House - that's us!
Although we have been offering The Kipper House to our wonderful guests for more than 15 years, we don't have any reviews published on Lodgify yet as we are new to this platform as of June 2026. The quotes on our website are real extracts from emails and lovely letters from our visitors and you can see what others have said about us if you look for us on Google or AirBnB. We are thrilled that we are as close to a full 5* as you can get. We hope you will think so too!
