Villa Serena — Water Island, U.S. Virgin Islands
Ocean and sunset views from every room. A private pool and hot tub. Honeymoon Beach just down the hill. Villa Serena is a 4-bedroom, 3-bath villa on Water Island — the smallest and most peaceful of the U.S. Virgin Islands — hosting up to 8 adults, or up to 12 guests when traveling with children, with the kind of comfort and reliability rarely found in Caribbean homes.

Part of The Serena Group hospitality collection, Villa Serena is owner-designed and owner-hosted: a sunset-facing home built for gathering, cooking, and slow, golden Caribbean evenings.

• Surfboard-style outdoor shower for rinsing off after the beach

The Primary Suite — A Private Owner's Retreat
At nearly 700 sq ft, the primary suite is a retreat within the retreat:

Combined with the queen sleeper sofa in the primary suite, the villa offers flexible arrangements for multigenerational groups and families traveling together.

A Kitchen Designed for Gathering

• Nespresso Virtuoso, Breville Precision Brewer, and electric kettle

The dining room seats 8, with the kitchen island's barstool seating a favorite spot for the kids — and every detail is ready for the whole group, with Fortessa china, flatware, glassware, and India Hicks linens in full service for 12. Entertain here as effortlessly as you would at home.

About Water Island
Water Island is the fourth — and smallest, and most peaceful — of the U.S. Virgin Islands, a short ferry ride from St. Thomas. No crowds, no traffic lights, and just two beloved beach restaurants: Dinghy's Beach Bar and Heidi's Honeymoon Grill. Guests love the rare blend of easy access and low-key seclusion, with St. Thomas shopping, excursions, and the airport minutes away by ferry.

Concierge Services
Concierge services are available for pre-arrival provisioning, in-villa massages, private boat excursions, water taxi and private driver arrangements, and booking experiences tailored to your group. A private chef for guests can also be arranged for in-villa dining.

Villa Serena is not just a vacation rental — it is a curated island experience designed to feel like home, only better.

Villa Serena | Luxury Oceanview Water Island Home

Dear Hugh & Vivianne,
Thank you for hosting the Tennessee crew for only one special night. (How sad is that!) We all were so excited to see this special island that one of our friends lives on. You guys have a 5-star home with too many goodies for only one night. Hopefully we will be able to return in the future someday!
All the best,
Carole & Kevin, Lisa, Erin, L.B., Dale

Amazing stay at this beautiful villa!

Everything about your home and hospitality is phenomenal. I felt so safe and loved which is a great thing to feel when entering a home that isn't mine. You both went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as it was. Thank you so much! I will miss everything especially Vivi and Hugh!

Everything about your home and hospitality is phenomenal

I hosted and planned my best friend’s bachelorette weekend at this beautiful villa and it could not have been more perfect! The home is stunning and you can tell every detail was thoughtfully planned out. From the moment we arrived we felt so safe and welcomed — Chef Vivi and Captain Hugh are incredible hosts who went above and beyond for us. Having our hosts, private chef, and captain all included made everything SO easy to plan — the food was amazing, and our day out on the yacht was one of the best experiences ever. It was my first time on a yacht and they made it unforgettable. They even treated us to a complimentary late checkout and breakfast on our last morning since our flight wasn’t until the afternoon — that’s the kind of hosts they are. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone planning something special. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!! 🩷

Could Not Have Been More Perfect

What an unforgettable stay. This home was absolutely stunning and gave us the perfect place to reconnect. We came here with our 3 children (Anthony (24), Gino (20), and Mia (16)), who haven’t all been together since Christmas, and Water Island brought us right back to what matters most: slowing down, being present, and enjoying each other’s company. We laughed, relaxed, explored, and made memories we know we’ll carry with us for a lifetime.
Thank you for creating a space that feels both peaceful and magical. It was exactly what we all needed.
With love ♡ from our family,
The Mariellos
