Tranquility on the Sound

Tranquility on the Sound was a perfect experience for our family! Our four boys got their fill of adventure while my husband and I got to experience this incredible property as a calming getaway type of experience, all at the same time. Tranquility has everything you want for a family vacation, whether you're staying only a couple nights or much longer. Can't wait to book again!

Perfect young families

My Boyfriend and I went to this beautiful place and we had such a great weekend on the water! We used the kayaks and just enjoyed our time together we slept on the bottom floor in the king room and that bed is so comfortable I was so happy waking up feeling good and ready for the day! Not to mention the kitchen was nice and CLEAN I felt comfortable making food in this kitchen. We just had a great stay overall, we definitely want to bring our friends with us next time!

Relaxing Weekend

This is our second time staying at Tranquility this year. We were thrilled with the spacious home and beautiful views of the water. The sunsets are just spectacular and relaxing on the deck with the breeze is a great memory. I set the last sunset as my phone screensaver and I smile every time I look at it. The sound of the water during my hammock nap was the best lullaby. Our grown kids were able to drop by for the day and really liked the Kayaks that were provided (free) no extra charge. Our oldest is a fisherman and was impressed with the fishing Kayak, nice seats and all. Life jackets provided too. My husband and I rode the bikes (helmets provided too) to the park area with the boat ramp to check it out. We’re planning to bring our fishing boat next time. We caught fish off the mowed property right from the bulkhead last time. The fish we caught were so big, Flounder and Catfish the biggest I’ve caught from land. We didn’t eat them but could have, we set them free. This time we caught huge blue Crabs with chicken leg on a string! Fun for all and even the older kids had fun. We will be making this a twice a year vacay! I’m even hoping to squeeze in a fall and winter stay. The fireplace and fire pit are perfect for relaxing outside. There were plenty of outdoor chairs and games too. The way the house is seated on the property we didn’t see any of the neighbors. It was a real nice vacation again and I am looking to block off my weeks every year! Thank you !

Blue Crab Dinner Caught off the Water

We absolutely love staying at this beautiful home on the Albemarle Sound. With four bedrooms and two full bathrooms, it’s spacious and comfortable for families. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the thoughtful amenities—kayaks, bicycles, fishing gear, and even inner tubes—gave us endless ways to enjoy the outdoors.
The water is calm and peaceful, with so many interesting spots to kayak and explore. Our kids had a blast playing in the yard and taking part in all the outdoor activities—they happily abandoned their screens all day long. Evenings were just as special, with stunning views over the water and a breathtaking night sky.
We’ve stayed here several times and always look forward to coming back. It’s the perfect place for relaxation, adventure, and family time—we can’t recommend it enough!

Loved our stay at “Tranquility”!  From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views of the water. The location is unbeatable - it truly felt like a hidden gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The house itself was immaculate, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was impressive, from the comfortable bedding to the well-stocked kitchen. We especially enjoyed lounging on the spacious deck, sipping our morning coffee while watching the sunrise over the water. 
The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Their recommendations for local activities and dining spots were spot on, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip.
