An historic & quirky 16th century Manor House in the rural Usk Valley, surrounded by the Black Mountains & very close to the Brecon Beacons National Park, yet with superb transport links by car or train to either Newport or Abergavenny stations. Location for the recent&nbsp;BBC 'Famous Five' film.
Recently redecorated, Court Farmhouse sleeps 8 people in single or double beds. Large enclosed garden with BBQ and games. 
For groups of up to 12 people this house lets easily with the adjacent Court Farm cottage.
Inevitably with its rich 400 year history the property is quirky. Most&nbsp;of the rooms do not have a straight line in them, apart from the curtain rail! Pack lots of warm jumpers for the cooler summer evenings, autumn and winter. The two woodburning stoves pump out heat. A generous quantity of firewood is provided with newspapers and&nbsp;firelighters. A starter pack of kindling is also provided.&nbsp; Depending on your firelighting skills, you might wish to bring some with you.&nbsp;The living and games rooms&nbsp; , panelled, porch and garden bedrooms have secondary glazing and there are electric blankets on thepanelled and porch beds. The Aga is from May to August.&nbsp; There is an&nbsp; electric range cooker and BBQ to cook on.&nbsp;
Guests have the entire property to themselves. There is a private and enclosed garden with an outdoor BBQ&nbsp; (bring charcoal), dining table and chairs, croquet and badminton sets.
During&nbsp; weekends and bank holidays contact is via a monitored number and email.
Food, food, glorious food! 2 minutes away is The Retreat @llanover, where fresh vegetable, sourdough bread and croissants can be purchased Tuesday - Saturday.&nbsp;The Angel in Abergavenny stocks home made breads, welsh cheeses, jams and chutneys. For the starter shop, delivered to your door Waitrose and Morrisons supermarkets are within 5 miles. Guests can work off the culinary delights with a gentle stroll along the Monmouthshire to Brecon Canal or a more strenuous uphill walk to the Goose & Cuckoo pub with its wide selection of local ales.
