Villa di Pietro – Historic Stone Villa with Private Pool, Sea Views & Authentic Sicilian Character in Northwest Sicily

Welcome to Villa di Pietro – one of the most characterful stone properties in northwest Sicily, nestled in the peaceful hills above Buseto Palizzolo. Once the heart of a Sicilian family estate, it has been fully and lovingly restored to offer something increasingly rare: a holiday home where authentic history and modern comfort feel completely at home together.
The villa carries the spirit of its long Italian family heritage in every stone wall and archway. The extensive renovation preserved everything that gives the house its soul, while adding the kind of quality and comfort that makes a long stay a true pleasure. You're not just renting a villa – you're stepping into a piece of living Sicilian history.
Views That Stop You in Your Tracks
The views from the property are extraordinary. The eye travels across rolling valleys and terraced hillsides, past the ancient mountaintop town of Erice, and all the way to the shimmering sea above Trapani. Waking up to this panorama over your morning espresso, lingering over a long dinner on the terrace, or simply sitting outside after dark under the Sicilian sky – this is the quiet luxury Villa di Pietro offers in abundance.
Space for up to 9 Guests – Perfect for Families
The villa sleeps up to 9 guests across four generous double bedrooms and an additional study with a single bed. Every bedroom has its own air conditioning unit, keeping even the warmest Sicilian summer nights comfortable. Three fully renovated bathrooms with shower and WC mean mornings run smoothly for the whole group.
Outdoor Living at Its Best
The centrepiece of the outdoor space is a private pool measuring 12 × 4 metres (depth 1.5 m) – ideal for long afternoon swims and lazy poolside hours. The large terrace with a spacious dining table is made for shared evenings under the open sky. Several smaller seating areas and piazzette are scattered around the property, each offering a quiet corner, a patch of shade, or a different angle on the views.
The outdoor kitchen and BBQ grill is where evenings come alive – there's nothing quite like a Sicilian barbecue as the sun drops behind the hills.
The property grounds are generous and dotted with fruit trees including pomegranate – a small but very real taste of the Sicilian countryside right outside your door.
Inside: Character, Comfort & an Open Bar
The interiors blend Mediterranean warmth with every modern convenience. The fully equipped kitchen features a large hob and dishwasher, making the villa as practical as it is beautiful. On cooler evenings, the open fireplace becomes the natural gathering point – one of the great pleasures of staying in an old stone house.
The standout feature for groups: a dedicated lounge room with an open bar and a full-size pool table. Whether it's a cocktail evening or a friendly tournament, this room earns its place.
Connectivity is no compromise here: Villa di Pietro is equipped with Starlink high-speed internet – fast and reliable even in this peaceful hillside setting. A washing machine and private parking for up to 4 cars on the property complete the picture.
Direct from the Owner – Personal, Not Generic
Villa di Pietro is rented directly by the owner. That means personal contact from the moment you enquire, tailored recommendations for the region, and the kind of insider knowledge that no agency can replicate.
Your Base for the Best of Northwest Sicily

Villa di Pietro is more than a holiday rental. It is an invitation to experience Sicily at its most authentic – we look forward to welcoming you.

Villa di Pietro

Our week in the Villa di Pietro was absolutely incredible. Great home, breath taking views, gorgeous pool, but most importantly, the best host you could ask for. Domy went above and beyond for us no matter what we asked. Transportation, restaurant and shopping recommendations, and she set up a private dinner by a chef at the villa for my family. That was one of our best memories of Sicily. She was so responsive even when we left and moved to a different area of Sicily, she still provided recommendations. The villa is amazing, but Domy is the true gem of the place!

Our week at Viila Di Pietro
