VILLA WITH LUXURY POOL SURROUNDED BY VINEYARDS

Under the Italian sun set amongst vineyards and rolling hills you will find the secluded Villa La Mura. Get away from the buzzing everyday life and enjoy real slow-life. Bring your friends and family to experience genuine Piemontese lifestyle and discover one of Italy’s most beautiful regions. Start the day with a walk alongside the nearby vineyards watching the sun come up over the beautiful hillsides. Spend your days relaxing by the pool to the sounds of birds and the smell of the beautiful roses and herbs in the garden. Enjoy the great selection of Michelin restaurants in the nearby villages of Neive, Barbaresco, Barolo, La Morra and Alba.

TRANQUIL PATIO WITH BLISSFUL VIEW

The charming rustic look of the house has been important for us to persevere. The old brick walls and terracotta roof are symbolic of the local building style in Piemonte. The outside dining space under the pergola can accommodate 16 people. Enjoy your meals with great views over the pool and the blissful surroundings. On each side of the house your eyes can rest on the vineyards and hazelnut groves. Behind the house you will find a small secret woodland where the kids can have great fun playing hide and seek. If you are lucky you will see the wild rabbits playing hide and seek as well. In the evenings beautifully lit pergolas and pool create a great atmosphere. In case of a few raindrops, you can move your dinner party to the rustic old garage where the big garage doors allow beautiful views of the Italian nights.

RELAX AND REFRESH BY THE POOL

The pool is the ultimate in privacy and seclusion and the water offers a refreshing escape from the hot sun. Kickstart your day with a morning swim before sitting down with an espresso. Enjoy lazy days by the pool reading a book or your new magazines. With no nearby neighbors you can feel free to enjoy your favorite lounge music on the outdoor speakers, powered by a Sonos Amp and full outdoor Wi-Fi coverage for your convenience. You will find 8 sunbeds and a big collection of luxury towels for everyone. Wrap up your day with an aperitif in the poolside lounge located in the lush garden with roses and lavender.

ITALIAN STYLE WITH A TOUCH OF SCANDINAVIA

We value the true Italian lifestyle and the traditional craftmanship in Piemonte. It has been important for us to preserve the traditional interior and the soul of the house. For your comfort we have refurbished the bathroom and the kitchen. Throughout the house you will find the traditional vaulted ceilings and beautiful marble terrazzo tiles. The kitchen is the heart of the house and will provide food lovers the ultimate playground. With a good selection of Italian cookbooks, you can feel like an Italian chef when preparing your gourmet meals on the classic gas stove. You will find all the equipment that true Italian foodies need. We provide good quality wine glasses and a selection of stylish tableware to serve your friends and family.

IN THE HEART OF AN UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

The house is placed between the historical towns of Alba and Asti. Surrounded by cultural landscape with vineyards all around. On top of the hills you find lovely villages with castles and churches. This magnificent scenery of the Langhe, Roero and Monferrato became an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2014. We often pop over to Costigliole d’Asti to visit the butcher or get some fresh bread from the bakery. The small town revolves around the large castle. Neive is in our opinion one of the most beautiful old towns in Italy. The small cobblestone streets take you through the center with magnificent views in all directions. There are two large churches and several restaurants and enotecas for gastronomic delights. Alba has the highest concentration of Michelin star restaurants in Italy, and you should check out the world-famous white truffles in the autumn. For wine lovers a trip to Barolo is a must. Set amongst the vineyards of Nebbiolo grapes, it is a perfect village for wine-tasting and a trip to the Wine Museum of Barolo.

THE STORY OF VILLA LA MURA

A long-term passion for the Italian way of life, its amazing cuisine, wine and summer climate, led to the idea of looking for a villa in Italy. When we came across Villa La Mura, it was a perfect fit due its secluded location. It is the perfect place to slow down and spend quality time with friends and family. Even though we totally love the Norwegian winters in Oslo, we can’t wait to get back to Piedmont for the summertime. The name of the villa goes back more than a century and La Mura means the wall. We were told by the family that had lived here for generations that the name was given by the village people because the winemakers used to gather here in the weekends and talk and sing all night long without disturbing anyone. We hope you will love our house as much as we do and enjoy summer evenings with your loved ones.

Villa La Mura | Luxury Pool by the Vineyards

We had a fantastic week at Kent and Sara's house. The house was beautifully situated in a quiet area with a fantastic view. We especially enjoyed the pool and the beautiful terrace. Kent had provided good recommendations for restaurants and wineries in the area. The guide app for Villa La Mura is very helpful. We can fully recommend Villa La Mura 🫶

Super helpful app for Villa La Mura with local recommendations

We had a fantastic stay at Sara and Kent's Villa La Mura. The house is located in the middle of the Piedmont wine district close to several small towns. The view from the house is breathtaking and a joy to wake up to every morning. We were two families (4 adults and 5 children) and had a fantastic time. The pool is large, very nice and have a fantastic pool area where you can relax. The house itself is charming and rustic but has a very modern kitchen and and good rooms with ceiling fans and a good outdoor area for eating/relaxing. There is parking space for two cars and the are many things in the house to make your stay pleasant. Kent is very accommodating and helpful and made sure everything was working and made sure there weren't any problems. We are definitely coming back to this house. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

Villa with breathtaking views

5 stars – an unforgettable experience in the heart of Piedmont. We had the pleasure of spending a week in this fantastic house in Piedmont, and it exceeded all our expectations. The house is located in a scenic and peaceful area with views of vineyards and rolling hills – exactly what you dream of when you think of the Italian countryside. The house itself was both charming and practical – tastefully decorated with a wonderful combination of authentic Italian style and modern comfort. Everything was extremely clean and well-maintained, and it was clear that the hosts really care about giving their guests a good experience. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the quiet evenings on the terrace with a glass of local wine. Sara & Kent: incredibly helpful and welcoming – both before and during our stay. They gave great tips for local wineries, restaurants and hidden gems in the area that we would never have found on our own. The area itself is a chapter in itself with small and cozy villages.

What you dream about on the Italian countryside

We had an amazing time at the Villa. The pool is a dream and the kitchen is amazing - especially the coffee machine! We‘ll come back for sure!

We'll be back for sure!

We stayed at Villa La Mura for five days in May and had an absolutely amazing stay. The house is incredible – the interior, the pool, the views. It is obvious that Kent and his family have put so much effort and passion into it, and have thought about every possible detail. We enjoyed days by the pool, breakfast and dinner in the pergola and amazing views over the wine fields. Lovely location as well, with several villages and towns just a short drive away. Throughout the whole stay, both Kent and Ivana were so helpful, and the communication was easy. They really care for their guests, and the guide app for Villa La Mura was especially nice. We are so greatful for our stay at Villa La Mura. This is a trip we will never forget!
