Some places are about the view first, and everything else second. Vista is one of them.
Perched on the cliff in the quiet village of Gaula -Porto Novo, on Madeira's sunny south coast, Vista looks out across the open Atlantic to the east — a wide blue stage for sunrise, passing ships, and the slow drama of weather rolling over the sea. You're 5 minutes from Funchal–Madeira Airport, 10 minutes from the Santa Cruz seaside promenade and its lively Saturday market, 15 minutes from the golden sands of Machico Beach, and a 20-minute drive (17 km) into Funchal city centre. Far enough from the bustle to truly slow down, close enough that nothing on Madeira feels out of reach.
The apartment sleeps up to 4 guests across two bedrooms and one bathroom, with a bright, airy living and dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, smart TV, fast Wi-Fi, washing machine, and a comfortable work-friendly corner for those staying longer. What makes Vista distinct is the balcony — sheltered, sunlit made for long unhurried breakfasts, late afternoon reading, and evenings watching the light fade over the water.
Vista is ideal for couples after a romantic, restorative Madeira escape, and equally suited to a small family of four exploring the island by car. For larger groups, it sits side by side with our Waterfront apartment, so two couples or friends travelling together can have their own front doors yet share dinners, walks, and that first morning coffee with the sea in front of you.
This is somewhere to put the phone down, open the doors to the balcony, and let Madeira's gentle rhythm take over — the kind of stay you remember long after the tan has faded.

Cliff Residence Vista Apartment

Our stay at Cliff Residence was amazing! Starting from the owners who provided us with all the support and information prior arrival. The apartment is just great with an amazing view. It is provided with all needed appliances such as oven, air frier, coffee machine, dishes, dish washer… Parking is available in front of the apartment for free. The apartment is close to funchal and close to main highway.

Our stay at Cliff Residence was amazing!

The two of us felt incredibly comfortable in this apartment! The hosts were wonderfully welcoming, and communication was absolutely perfect; they even provided great extra information beforehand. A particularly hospitable touch was being allowed to check out at 1:00 PM on our departure day at no extra cost! Check-in was completely contactless and hassle-free thanks to the key box.
The apartment is very clean, cozy, and warmly decorated. It has absolutely everything you need—we especially appreciated the provided washing machine and dishwasher tablets. As a nice bonus, there were even two beach blankets ready for us! The dedicated garage parking space is another huge plus.
A note for future guests: The apartment is located near the airport, but the noise didn't bother us at all. We would love to come back!

Our stay at this apartment in Madeira was absolutely perfect. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The apartment was fully equipped – honestly, one of the best-equipped places I’ve ever stayed in. You could find literally everything you might need. On top of that, the view from the window was stunning and made the whole experience even more special. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
