We have a “Lotus Belle” Glamping tent with all the trappings of comfort that you may need. The tent is set on its own deck and is surrounded by trees with a view that will leave you breathless. It is suited to Couples, small families up to 4 guests and you can even bring your pets. There is a comfy double bed and a single with a pull out trundler bed underneath (So is perfect for young families) You be staying on top of the world. The view from your bed is second to none and there is a fantastic glowworm grotto only a few minutes’ walk away. The Lotus Bell glamping tent has plenty of room and is very comfortable. The toilet and bathroom is a short walk away and has its own outside claw footed bath, where you can soak while being serenaded by Tui and watch the Kereru swoop. Our glamping tent is all the fun of camping with the comfort of a nice bed, power and heating. It is also close to our house so we are very available to help answer questions about attractions and chat about the wonders of Waitomo. A continental breakfast is provided and you even get marshmallows to toast over the brazier. We are situated half way between the Waitomo Village the Mangapohoe Natural Bridge and Marakopa falls. We are close to The Legendary Black Water Rafting Company / Waitomo Glowworm Cave / Huhu Cafe / Tomo Bar / Ruakuri Bush Walk. You can also do walks on the farm that has been in the Stubbs Family for 5 generations. Rachel and I have been involved in Tourism all our working lives so can advise you on how to have your perfect Waitomo get away. You will need a car to get to us and drive around the Waitomo area.

Te Tiro Glamping Tent

What an experience! We all love the glamping.

We weren't really sure about what to expect as this was our first glamping experience. We went into this thinking we would have preferred one of the cabins. When we arrived at the end of drive into Te Tiro we were immediately welcomed by Angus and a big smile. He showed us the path to our glamping site and told us about the background of the property and his family. It is a really cool history that I won't spoil. When we booked we felt like we were "settling" with the glamping site since the cabins were already booked. After we saw our place, we felt so lucky the cabins were already booked! (Not that they would have been bad. They just didn't have all the wonderful features we had glamping.) We were so excited when we arrived and walked through the white picket gate into our own private space. We have traveled to over 35 countries and stayed at a very wide variety of accomodations but this is absolutely in the top 2 of places we have ever stayed. The tent was enormous! It had ac/heat and even two wing back chairs for reading. Plenty of power outlets to charge everything and good internet coverage for planning our adventures. The view is indescribable. You can see for miles and the stars at night are mesmerizing. There is a great little kitchen setup and a grill. They provide so many things- granola, cereal, milk, juice, jams, peanut butter, coffee, marshmallows for roasting and more! A nice perk about the kitchen area is that is open air but covered and there are two bar seats to eat at or enjoy coffee if it's raining. There is a table with chairs on the patio as well as a fire pit with chairs around it. The bathroom is just outside the tent door and is very clean and comfortable. There is a bathtub just outside that can be enjoyed under the stars! And yes, the bubble bath solution is provided! The glowworm grotto is so cool! We took some champagne down and enjoyed sipping and quietly appreciating the beauty which is such a treat to be able to do without a tour guide or group of people with us. This place is an absolute slice of heaven. We only stayed two nights but we could have easily enjoyed a week here. I really hope we make it back someday and I hope you get to experience this magical place for yourself! And definitely choose the glamping even if cabins are available! ;)

Glamping Stay

Four of us shared this wonderful accommodation, and we can highly recommend booking this place. The glorious outlook, the peaceful setting and the beautiful sound of the native birds. The tent had everything you need and the amenities were on point. I will definitely come back!

What a devine piece of paradise 😍

Only had the one night but could have stayed for several more. Amazing, magical location. Hosts are super lovely and they have thought of everything to make your stay truly memorable. Will be back to stay for sure.

Magical night away

This stay was truly spectacular. The views were out of this world and the tent was very comfortable. It rained all night for us, but the tent was dry and cozy. Host was very nice and accomidating. I'd highly recommend a stay here!
