A Sterling Retreat in Warwick - Upstate New York

A private home away in the center of it all. Nestled in four acres of wooded forest and steps away from a secluded lake.

Warwick Retreat

As business owners with children, when we plan our summer vacation each year peace, relaxation, and comfort are at the top of our list. Warwick Retreat is the PERFECT escape... no detail is missed from luxurious bath products to the softest, coziest blankets!!! From day one, I woke up feeling refreshed, completely relaxed, and at peace. The location is perfect....we enjoyed kayaking, wine tasting at the many wineries around, the farms with fresh produce (the kids loved the farms, orchards and wineries... there's activities for kids), AND we were easily able to get down to Manhattan - take in a broadway show - then return to our haven and enjoy wine on the patio in our pjs.

Our ENTIRE family thoroughly enjoyed our stay.... which for those families with kids of various ages know...that's a rarity! Warwick Retreat is now on our list of annual vacations...I wish I could give 10 stars!!!!

Business Owner

The experience:
Have to start off with describing what a pleasure it was to deal with Donald and Andrea. Since this is their place, it's treated as if it's their own. Everything was setup perfectly. Kitchen was fully stocked, from bowls/silverware to pitchers, BBQ tools, glasses (wine, water, martini, cocktail), really anything you need. Anyone who's rented a vacation rental knows what a pain it can be when the host doesn't have the Kitchen stocked with the basics. They have the basics and way beyond! From the time we entered the home it was like being in a 5 star hotel! Waters by the bed, spotlessly clean, and immaculately maintained. The house gets sun all day and is cheery and bright.

Location: The house is really conveniently located. We work in the City on weekends and so to the south via the Tapanzee or GW bridge you are only 1 hour. Within 10-60 minutes from a lot of great places. From Sterling Forest, Harriman, Ramapo, Renaissance Fair, Peekskills, Hudson Highlands, Schunnemunk, Stone Crop Gardens, Bear Mountain Park, West Point, Storm King, and more! It's an 8 min drive to Tuxedo Park and some great food (try Tuxedo Sushi or the renowned Dottie Audreys). We were never at a loss as to having things to do or see!

For the techies out there: This is a great house to work from as well! I do technical work, so having charging stations, outlets and good internet are important. This place has it all! Alexa stations in every room, beautiful Televisions, Bose sound system, 5 star BBQ (what's a vacation without a grill anyway??), spacious and roomy for family and friends, bed's were 5 star mattresses (felt like we were sleeping in a cloud!). Instructions for use were clear and easy. Some of the home automation systems in other vacation rentals we've been in were so complicated only I would use while the rest of the family would use their own Bluetooth speakers. Not here! My wife used everything without issue.

Really can't recommend this place enough. We've stayed at some other houses nearby and been disappointed. Poorly maintained, dark and dingy, bad internet, the list goes on. These 2 have done an amazing job, you won't be disappointed!

Amazing hosts, plus the amenities, decor, and location, way beyond our expectations!!!

Wow this home and location are breath taking. I’ve always dreamed of being in a New England state during the fall colors and this surpassed my imagination, this home sets in the most beautiful forest setting and the leaves were in full color. So very beautiful and peaceful. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck and enjoying the scenery.
You can’t go wrong staying here, the house is perfect, everything you need to be comfortable and so many extra luxeries. It’s a vacation we’ll never forget.
Thanks to our host Andrea she made sure everything was perfect.

Traveler

The Warwick Retreat was so beautiful, that I don't even know where to start.

We were a family of 10 with kids and there was more than enough room for everyone. From the high end appliances in the house to the Amazon Alexas in every room, we enjoyed every part of this house.

The backyard/front yard are so huge and well maintained. Kids enjoyed running around and playing there.

Inside of the house was imaculate! My family is very picky when it comes to cleanliness of the house and for the first time ever, everyone was amazed and beyond surprised at how clean everything was-from the clean beds to every item in the kitchen.

Bottom line, somebody must have sat in every area of the house and thought "How could we make the experience of our guests even better". Usually it's only the needs that are met in vacation rental houses. But this house went above by also satisfying our wants! We'll definitely be back and can't wait! Thank you Andrea for making this the best vacation home we ever stayed in!

Clean! Comfortable! Excellent!

We Loved this rental! The Warwick house inside and out is in pristine condition. Feels like everything is brand new(: The beds are so comfortable too. We had everything we needed and more. Was a perfect place to spend a family weekend. And the owners were amazing from answering questions about hiking to leaving treats upon our arrival. Highly recommend this rental and look forward to renting the Warwick House again! The Schupler's
