With wooded views in every direction and comfortable spaces to relax after a day of exploration, this private retreat balances modern convenience with the calm of the forest.

The place was amazing! The property had many small things that shows the owner cares about your comfort. The dishes, silverware, towels, bedding, the beds, everything was high quality and kept in good condition. The owner was quick and responsive to questions and used technology perfectly to keep us happy with minimal need for intervention or help.

Our stay over the 4th of July weekend was just what we needed. We were searching for a quiet place with a truly relaxing atmosphere, and we found just that.The cottage was cozy and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The decor was beautiful, with elegant, subtle touches of nature that added to the serene ambiance.On sunny days, we enjoyed the patio, where we spent hours listening to the birds sing and, later, marveling at the stars in the peaceful night sky with a glass of wine. When the weather turned, we happily snuggled up on the comfy furniture inside and enjoyed movies with surround sound– the soundproofing ensured no outside noise disturbed our peace.Despite feeling secluded and peaceful, the location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to golf courses, delicious restaurants, and antique shops. Highly recommend staying here.

I booked The Drey for a girls weekend with my mom, sister, and cousin and it was perfect! The place was super spacious with comfy furniture and had everything we needed. There were so many thoughtful little touches that really made it stand out from other places we’ve stayed. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful, with lots of privacy—we loved watching the birds and soaking in the nature. It was also really close to downtown Galena and other fun spots in the territory, so everything was just a quick drive away. We also got to use the Owners Club, which was such a nice bonus. All in all, it was the perfect spot for our weekend and we’re so glad we stayed. Would totally recommend and hope to come back soon!

We (a family with toddler and baby) had such an incredible time at the Drey! The house comes with access to the owners club where there is a play room and a great in- and outdoor pool, with a separate toddler pool. The atmosphere is great, the pool clean and tbe guests friendly. We went almost every day, our son must have gone down the frog slide at least 100 times. There are a bynch of fun things to do in the aread, our son was too young to ride a horse but was allowed to pet them at the riding center, and we went on a hike with goats. The house is so cozy, we really appreciated the personal touch of a card and bottle of wine. But also small touches like the TV setup and providing things like coffee, olive oil and band aids. Both the beautiful couch and comfy chair have been taken naps on by these tired parents ;)We were especially appreciative of the kitchen and grill. We almost never find a well equipped kitchen in vacation homes, not the case here! Cooking was a joy.
