Surrounded by the forest the house is set off the ground and has huge windows to give it spectacular views of the forest canopy and Nicoya Gulf. The large rooms and Queen size beds provide comfort, all the essentials plus more are provided.
Located close to town but extremely private it is ideal as a base to enjoy all of Monteverdes attractions and is an attraction in itself that provides the peace to rest after a full day of activities.
Close by restaurants and markets are very convenient.

Above the Gulf House: Spectacular Ocean View!

Toll eingerichtet.

Magnifique maison

We loved our stay at the Above the Gulf Vacation House! It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed the wrap around porch, which overlooked the Gulf of Nicoya. We especially appreciated the emphasis on environmental stewardship, as there were dedicated recycling and composting options as well as a solar water heater on the roof. Our host, Daniela, was wonderful; she provided us with detailed information as well as local recommendations for the best activities in the Monteverde area. The compound even included a unique playground area, which our kids’ absolutely loved! We felt safe and secure the entire time, thanks to the gated entry. We loved the incredible views as well as the numerous wildlife encounters during our stay. The highlight was a troop of capuchins that bid us farewell as we were packing the car to leave. If you’re planning on visiting Monteverde, we highly recommend staying at the Wonder Houses
