This is a listing for the entire property, which includes the Woodland Retreat (main house which can sleep up to 6), Woodland Cottage (sleeps up to 3), and theTimber Tent (sleeps up to 3).&nbsp; A private experience amidst redwoods and gardens, yet just minutes from Mendocino village. This dog friendly property with room to roam ensures your furry friendly family members can also join in the fun.
Gather on the veranda and enjoy the covered and fully-equipped outdoor kitchen, redwood bar, gas fire table & BBQ. The large, custom built picnic table will seat up to 12 diners. Alternatively, you can enjoy meals amidst the beauty of the surrounding Redwoods in the all-glass sunroom, no matter what the weather or season. Play lawn games during the day and then star gaze at night while sitting around the large wood-burning fire pit or relaxing in the hot tub. 
The luxury outdoor bathhouse is just one of the three bathrooms on property but perhaps our favorite! This elegant take on a camp bathroom features a separate toilet, shower & changing room. There is also an outdoor sink / toothbrushing station to easily support your large group needs. The Woodland Retreat and Cottage both have full bathrooms as well. 
For groups of 10 or more&nbsp;the Timber Tent is included in the rate.&nbsp;It is also available as an add on ($100 nt)&nbsp;for smaller groups that would just like to spread out. It&nbsp;features&nbsp;2 twin beds and a pull out trundle, as well as couch and a covered private deck. Due to its rugged and semi permanent construction, the tent is available year round and includes electricity, heated mattresses, and screened windows for the warmer summer days.&nbsp;
While this woodland getaway is fully nestled in nature, there is an EV charger, stable wifi, Live & Streaming TV, and an automatic generator on the property for our guests comfort and enjoyment. 
Rates are based on 8-person occupancy and are adjusted to accommodate your party for a maximum of 12.

Woodland Retreat & Cottage

We rented the entire property to celebrate our February birthdays on the coast. We had 10 people stay. The main house, cottage & tent cabin were all so cozy and fully equipped with all the necessities! This home has it all with gorgeous updated appliances and user friendly wood stove! Electric car charger on site, and plenty space for all. We cooked big meals and ate in the gorgeous window room off the kitchen. The hot tub was such a treat while forest bathing on the property. The outdoor covered patio is incredible! The big Bbq and fire pit make it easy to hang there regardless of the weather. Plus you can bring your dog! It was middle of winter and even the tent cabin was cozy. The two beds in there had heated blankets which was so helpful. 
The property’s super host, Amy, is just incredible! She is such a great resource and knows all the ins and outs of Mendo. She is quick to reply to any questions you may have & has the best recommendations. We cannot wait to go back to this special place! Go see for yourself!

Fantastic Mendo Getaway

My family stayed at the Woodland Retreat using the main house, guest house and luxury tent. The house is equipped with everything. We especially appreciated the extra long dining table and the wood burning stove for chilly mornings. The fire pit is the perfect spot for a glass of wine or roasting marshmallows. The property feels totally secluded but beautiful Mendocino is just a short drive away. Our host, Amy, couldn’t have been nicer and made sure we had everything we needed. My family will definitely will definitely be going back.

Perfect retreat for all ages

Went away with the girls and found this little "gem" in the woods! It was MAGICAL!! Surrounded by the gorgeous Redwoods, and nestled in its own little peaceful, calm, and serene location. I stayed in the tent, and it was enchanting! I was able to see the stars through the screened windows and woke up to the birds singing! The bed was quite comfortable, and if needed, a heated mattress was supplied. One of the highlights was taking a bath in the outdoor tub under the stars!! The property is well-stocked and offers a hot tub, a beautiful outdoor bar, a large dining room table for games, and a separate outdoor bath house. This gem is a peaceful retreat for anyone who is seeking a little escape! Exploring the woods and all the natural beauty that surrounds the property, Woodland Getaway is a must for your next adventure!
