Everything was clean and welcoming. I did carry my bag up the flights of stairs, but no problem, and we didn't hear much (if any) noise from the butcher under the apartment - absolutely no concerns. Communication was frequent and easy with the hosts. When I arrived, they had a service call scheduled to fix the washing machine and asked if it was okay to keep the appointment - offering to cancel if it was an inconvenience for me. I told them to keep the appointment, but the service technician needed to order a part for the machine, so no washing machine. However, Celine offered to launder my clothing and bring them back the next day. It was such a thoughtful gesture, but I went to the laundry mat around the corner which was inexpensive and easy to navigate. The whole area is filled with restaurants, shops, etc. and the metro stop is about a minute walk away from the apartment. Great experience! We would stay again.

Wonderful apartment - looks like the photos and very cozy.

Staying here got us away from the tourist traps and cheap souvenir stores that swarm the main attractions of the city and gave us a slice of what real Paris is like. The area around the apartment has terrific restaurants, grocery stores, patisseries, boulangeries and boucheries, all within steps of the front door. A safe area, while bustling throughout the day, becomes quiet enough at night for peaceful sleep. Furthermore, easy access (about 2 blocks) to Le Kremlin Bicetre Metro line meant all of Paris’s attractions were accessible within minutes. The apartment itself was perfect for us. A young family of 4, and would also be perfect for 2 couples. Decor is simple and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well laid out. The beds were firm and comfortable too. Morning coffee on the balcony was a particular highlight for me. Finally, a huge thanks to Gildas for the flexibilty, local advice and responsiveness.
