Welcome to our large suite in a heritage manor, perfectly located in the heart of Fairfield, one of the most sought-after neighbourhoods in Victoria. This fantastic convenient location is within walking distance to all levels of amenities, including restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, tourist attractions, Cook Street Village, Beacon Hill Park, Downtown, Dallas Road waterfront, and public transit. Whether it's for short or long stays, this fully furnished suite offers the comfort of a home away from home.
SPACE:
The Grand Larkspur Suite is the largest suite at Larkspur Manor, offering generous space and comfort for families or groups.
This two-bedroom suite includes two queen beds, a spacious living area with a queen sectional sofa bed, a full kitchen, and a private bathroom. With room to gather and relax, it’s ideal for longer stays or group travel.
This newly renovated 2 bedroom suite is located on the basement level of our building. It offers you lots of privacy with a private entrance and no other units on the same floor. Multiple large windows allows amble amount of natural light in to brighten the suite. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything that will surely inspire the inner chef in you. 
The bedrooms are furnished with medium-firm pillow-top queen-size bed with hotel quality linens. This suite can accommodate up to 6 guests. We are open to accept one well house trained dog. Please check with host for permission. Pet fees applies. Must agree to pet rules.

Our heritage manor is located in the heart of Fairfield, a desirable historical neighbourhood with many century-old heritage homes. &nbsp;Streets are lined with tree that leads to the Salish Sea, the famous Dallas Road waterfront, Clover Point Park, and beaches including picturesque Gonzales Bay, and dramatic views of the Olympic Mountains. Within minutes walk from us is Cook Street Village, a lively strip featuring laid-back eateries, cafés, sidewalk patios, grocery stores, and small local shops. The vibrant and popular Moss Street Market, a weekly summer outdoor market, is only a few blocks away. Many of the attractions are within walking distance from us, such as the Craigdarroch Castle, the Government House, Beacon Hill Park, and the Inner Harbour. For anyone who appreciates Victorian, Edwardian, and Craftsman homes, or who wants a change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Downtown, look no further than our friendly historical neighbourhood. HISTORY:
This large three-level Craftsman, chalet style, heritage manor was designed by the famous Canadian architect, Samuel Maclure, in 1912 for a prominent local businessman who was well-known for his interest in the prohibition movement and church, and was president of the YMCA. Two decades ago, the building was converted into seven self-contained suites. The suites all unique from each other ranging from studios, one and two bedroom suites. &nbsp;They all have their own kitchen and bathroom. The manor was known as Trutch Manor Suites, had for many years been Victoria's popular bed and breakfast. The manor is now renamed “Larkspur Manor Suites” to pay homage to our City of Gardens - Victoria. &nbsp;Larkspurs are are old-fashion flowers that come in a variety of shades, with beautiful meanings, most commonly used to symbolize love, affection, strong attachment, happiness, and pure heart. We believe Larkspur beautifully represents our manor in welcoming people from all shades to have a wonderful, happy stay, whether they are here for a special occasion, holiday making, or to reconnect with friends, families, and love ones. As the new owner with years of hospitality experience hosting travelers, business professionals, and international students from all over the world, and as a super host, and premiere host, I am excited and pleased to continue offering this wonderful manor as your home away from home while you are visiting or working in Victoria.
THINGS TO NOTE:
There is a set of stairs leading to the suite and it is not wheelchair accessible. As such, it will be challenging for those with mobility difficulties.
Laundry is at the building in our basement and is coin-operated. You will need 2 loonies (2 $1 coins) each to wash and to dry. Laundry is between 9 am - 8 pm.
If you are bring your furry pet, please obtain permission from host first. &nbsp;Pet fee applies. &nbsp;Must agree to pet rules.
Our 5 year-old dog, Cosmo, a medium-sized Labradoodle, stays with me at the property sometimes. You may see him play outside in the courtyard. If you are nervous around dogs, please let me know and I will limit his presence outside.
We have motion sensor security cameras on the outside of our building which stay on during 24/7. One at the main entrance, one on the side of the building above the gate, one near the fire escape at the back of the building near Unit 7, and one on the garage facing our parking lot. We do not have any recording devices inside the building or in any of the private spaces.

New 2 Bedroom Suite Fairfield Heritage Manor, Free Parking

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Larkspur Manor Suites for the second time this summer.  As we have family in Victoria I can see us booking into this lovely home for all of our future visits.  Our suite was impeccably clean, well appointed and had everything needed to ensure our stay was restful and inviting.  The linens are top notch and the bed super comfortable.  The location can’t be beat ~ walking distance to Cook St. Village that offers restaurant choices, quaint shops and a great pub. Check in was a breeze and the information package received prior to our arrival was excellent.  Holly was very responsive to our enquires and reached out to us during our stay to make sure everything was going well.

Happy we found Larkspur Manor

This large suite was so well appointed that we could cook meals for our daughter's family who lives nearby, sleep comfortably, work on our laptops, park our van, and make ourselves right at home.  The space is very large and comfortable, but know that there is a curtain separation of the bedroom, not a wall, though this did not matter to us.  Holly is a warm - and efficient - host.  

A great find

We obtained this unit so we could visit with our daughter who is a U of Vic student. We had a great stay, the accommodations were clean and awesome. The unit is quiet, and has lots of space. We particularly enjoyed the vintage stove, It was great and did a good job cooking our food.  During our stay we visited Royal Rhoads, Salt Spring island, Butchart Gardens, plus hiked the Sooke, among other things. 

Great Stay

This is the second time that I have stayed in this character home. The first time I stayed in a smaller upper suite & this last time in the larger basement suite. Both suites have lots of light which make them very enjoyable especially on nice sunny days.
The suites were very clean, stocked with everything you need from the bathroom to the kitchen. The beds are also very comfortable. 
I love the location & the safe parking at the back of the building. Its very easy to walk to Cook Street Village, Dallas road or downtown. 
Holly was friendly & kind. She was very attentive & checked in on my longer stay. She even provided flashlights when the city power went out. I would recommend this location & both suites to anyone visiting Victoria. I look forward staying there again!

We got this unit for a family with 1 adult, 1 senior and 2 boys. Although the privacy was limited as it is a suite, we were comfortable with the large sofa bed, the plenty space among the kitchen, dinning room, living room and the bathroom. The indoor decoration and furniture  added the unique taste for a basement, also provided the organize convenience for a family. We got everything that we need to use the kitchen and bathroom. The room use instruction from the host was detailed, check-in and check-out were also very useful for us. 

The location is one block away from the major roads , in a quite neighborhood area. We can easily walk to Government House, Craigdarroch Castle and bus stations to the downtown.

Overall, it was a nice place for us.
